Manulife Bank of Canada appoints Bacha to national director role in broker channel

Manulife Bank of Canada has appointed Caroline Bacha (pictured) as national director – broker channel within its national accounts team.

Bacha joins the bank from First National Financial, where she held business development and management roles for nearly a decade, most recently overseeing the North Shore and West Quebec Territory.

Bacha has worked in the banking and mortgage industry for 20 years, with previous roles at Air Canada, Genworth Canada, and BMO Financial Group. Her background includes broker relationship management and business development across multiple regions.

“Manulife Bank is so excited to welcome Caroline to our national accounts team,” said Maxime Stencer, AMPC, head of national accounts at Manulife Bank. “Her experience and professionalism in the broker space is well-known, and her dedication to the satisfaction of her clients as well as the growth of the broker channel speaks volumes.

“Following our win for Prime Lender of the Year at the most recent MAEs, we are thrilled to continue to invest in the growth of our business within the broker community, and the appointment of Caroline in this role is a testament to that commitment.”

Her appointment comes as Fiona Campbell retires after nine years at Manulife Bank. Campbell joined in 2016 and was a key figure in expanding the lender’s broker sales channel, which reached $3.3 billion in annual funded volume in 2024.

During her career, Campbell focused on advancing broker education and ethics within the mortgage industry. She was inducted into the MPC Mortgage Hall of Fame in 2023, received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Canadian Mortgage Awards, was recognized as one of CMP’s Top 50 Women in the Mortgage Industry, and named among the Top 100 mortgage professionals globally by Mortgage Professional America.
