CMP’s Global Director of Intelligence addresses feedback on the 2026 Top 75 ranking

CMP's Top 75 Brokers is one of our flagship special reports, and we take seriously the feedback we have received regarding this year's eligibility criteria.
For the 2026 ranking, we introduced a new verification step requiring applicants to provide a bank contact to support their submitted figures. The criteria for what constituted a valid verifying contact were not communicated clearly enough, and as a result, some applicants who would otherwise have qualified were excluded. That is an outcome we regret.
We are refining both the criteria and how we communicate them ahead of 2027 to ensure the process is unambiguous from the outset.
Our goal has always been to reflect the strongest brokers this industry has to offer. That remains unchanged and we will be more deliberate in ensuring applicants have everything they need to participate fully.
