GMCU teams up with Lextech to streamline process

Goulburn Murray Credit Union (GMCU) has entered a partnership with legal and mortgage technology provider Lextech in a move aimed at improving loan processing and customer experience across regional Victoria.

The agreement will see GMCU adopt Lextech’s digital solutions to speed up mortgage processing through automated workflows, smarter communication tools and tighter integration between members, legal representatives and property professionals.

GMCU chief executive Richard O'Nians (picutred left) said the collaboration supports the organisation’s goal to enhance services for its members. “This partnership strengthens our ability to respond faster, work smarter and keep improving on the customer experience and important services we offer the community,” he said.

“We’re proud of what we’ve built over many years, and partnerships like this with Lextech represent our continued investment in modern solutions for our customers.”

GMCU, established in 1985 following the merger of six local credit unions, continues to serve communities from Echuca to Seymour. The institution positions itself as a purpose-driven banking alternative for residents in regional Victoria.

Lextech chief executive Peter Maloney (pictured right) praised the credit union’s community focus. “We are proud to collaborate with such a highly respected and values-driven organisation,” Maloney said. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to service, innovation and regional impact.”

Lextech will provide digital legal services, document handling tools and technology to support seamless coordination between borrowers, mortgage brokers, and conveyancers, aiming to enhance transparency and efficiency during the home loan process.
