New partnership gives brokers access to tech-driven legal services
Australian Finance Group (AFG) has expanded its Partner Connect program to include Bond Property Lawyers, a national law firm specialising in technology-enabled conveyancing and property legal services.
AFG brokers can now refer clients to Bond Property Lawyers for a range of services, including conveyancing, loan and security documentation, contract disputes, and other property-related legal matters. The arrangement is designed to provide brokers’ customers with broader access to specialist expertise and to support brokers in diversifying their income streams.
Bond Property Lawyers’ integration with AFG’s systems will also allow brokers to receive real-time updates and access to documents, aiming to improve transparency and efficiency throughout the property transaction process. The technology-driven approach is intended to address the common issue of brokers being the last to receive important updates between contract and settlement.
Partner Connect, launched in 2024, forms part of AFG Suite360 and is intended to streamline and integrate broker experiences across key touchpoints. Other partners in the program include Broli Finance, Marketplace Finance, and AIA Financial Wellbeing.
“This collaboration with Bond Property Lawyers embodies the true intent of our Partner Connect program – empowering brokers and their customers by partnering with industry-leading providers,” said Them Lam (pictured top left), head of sales and distribution at AFG.
Ross McDougall, growth manager of Partner Connect, added: “Every property transaction requires high-quality conveyancing and legal advice, and we’re excited to offer direct access to a trusted provider. This move will help brokers strengthen relationships and build long-term customer loyalty.”
For Rex Afrasiabi (pictured top right), principal lawyer and co-founder of Bond Property Lawyers, partnering with AFG presents an opportunity to scale the firm’s technology-driven approach. “Our sole B2B2C focus places mortgage brokers at the centre of the transaction. Our Net Promoter Score (NPS) consistently sits more than 150% above the industry benchmark – a testament to the exceptional client experience we deliver,” he said.
Bill Nikolouzakis, co-founder at Bond Property Lawyers, also welcomed the partnership, saying it would help solve a common problem faced by mortgage brokers – the blind spot between contract and settlement. “Too often, mortgage brokers are the last to know about important updates,” he said. “Bond Property Lawyers closes that gap by integrating directly into the core systems that brokers use every day, giving them real-time updates, status tracking, and 24/7 access to documents.”
To mark the launch of the partnership, Bond Property Lawyers is offering AFG brokers a $100 discount on its services and complimentary contract reviews for a limited time.
