Woolnough will oversee recently merged group’s third party channel

MyState Limited has announced the appointment of seasoned industry executive Mark Woolnough (pictured) as its group head of broker, a position that will see him oversee the unified third-party distribution teams across both MyState and Auswide Bank.
The move comes as in the wake of the merger of MyState and Auswide Bank earlier this year.
Woolnough brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services, distribution leadership and third party channel management. His previous senior roles include distribution leadership positions at ING Australia, CoreLogic, and Plenti.
“I’m honoured and excited to step into this new role with MyState Group at such a pivotal time,” Woolnough said. “Brokers are at the heart of what we do, and my focus will remain on making their experience with us simple, seamless, and rewarding.”
MyState managing director and chief executive Brett Morgan said Woolnough’s appointment marks the Group’s first key market-facing integration since the merger.
“Mark’s passion for brokers, deep industry expertise and leadership qualities make him the ideal person to lead our group’s broker distribution teams,” Morgan said. “We’re confident Mark’s energy and broker-first mindset will create real value for brokers, their clients, and for our Group as a whole.”
