Transition is scheduled to take effect following the completion of current term
ANZ Group has officially confirmed that Graham Hodges will retire from the boards of ANZ Group Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries.
This transition is scheduled to take effect following the completion of his current term in February 2026.
Hodges has been a fixture of the bank’s leadership for decades, serving as a non-executive director since 2018. Before his time on the board, he held several high-ranking executive positions within the group, including deputy chief executive.
His tenure also included a significant period as the chief executive of ANZ New Zealand. This extensive executive background provided the board with rare, deep-seated institutional knowledge during a period of massive regulatory and strategic shifts in banking leadership across Australia.
ANZ Group chairman Paul O’Sullivan said: “We thank Graham for his enormous contribution to ANZ. His significant financial services experience and deep knowledge of ANZ have been particularly beneficial and we wish him and his family all the best for his future.”
