Brokers and lenders honoured in 18 categories at Crown Perth ceremony
Western Australia’s leading brokers, lenders, and finance businesses were honoured on June 12 during the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) 2025 WA State Excellence Awards at Crown Perth.
Awards were given across 18 categories, reflecting the range of specialisations within the sector – from customer service and business development to lending, brokerage, and regional work. Notable recipients included Momentum Wealth, which received both the Diversified Business Award and Finance Broker Business Award; Balpreet Singh Bal of Loan Market Bal & Associates, who was named Residential Finance Broker of the Year; and Kurtis Grace of Whiteroom Finance Goldfields, who took home the Regional Finance Broker Award.
Emerging professionals were also recognised, including Rob Flynn from Vorteil Financial Group and Riley Capararo of Mortgage Choice Subiaco, who won the Young Professional Award and Newcomer Award, respectively.
The event was one of five state-level ceremonies leading up to the National Excellence Awards in Melbourne on July 23.
“Western Australia’s mortgage professionals continue to set the bar high. We’re incredibly proud of their commitment to client care, compliance and innovation. The achievements celebrated last night reflect not only outstanding business results, but also the dedication brokers bring to every client relationship,” MFAA CEO Anja Pannek said.
