SFGconnect V2 eliminates low-value tasks ‘so brokers can focus on their relationships, marketing, strategy and client experience’

Mortgage aggregator SFG launches next-gen AI-driven broker platform

Specialist Finance Group (SFG) has officially launched SFGconnect V2, its next-generation broker platform designed to enhance productivity and streamline compliance.

Built in direct consultation with brokers across Australia, the upgraded platform introduces advanced automation, intelligent workflows, integrated education and an AI engine aimed at slashing administrative workloads.

“At SFG, our systems mission has always been simple: remove friction, increase efficiencies and productivity, safeguard your business with best-in-class compliance and empower brokers to spend more time with clients,” said SFG general manager Blake Buchanan (pictured, top).

Buchanan called SFGconnect V2 “a major leap forward – it’s smarter, faster and built in direct consultation with brokers nationwide”.

AI-driven enhancements

SFGconnect V2 features an AI tool that automatically generates complete compliance notes, client summaries and submission notes in a matter of seconds.

Key benefits include:

  • Drafts up to 2,500 words instantly, tailored to each deal

  • Produces structured, consistent and compliant notes

  • Brokers retain full control to review, edit and attach as needed

  • Reduces risk of missed documentation and cuts hours of manual writing

According to SFG, brokers typically produce compliance-level notes at 10-15 words per minute, meaning manually creating a 2,500-word submission can take 2.5 to four hours. A broker writing six deals and months can save up to 18 hours of workload.

But “this isn’t just about speed”. Buchanan added. “It’s about eliminating low-value tasks so brokers can focus on their relationships, marketing, strategy and client experience – the things that actually move the needle.”

Other SFGconnect V2 enhancements include:

  • Lender-specific workflow automation

  • Smart-search policy tools and embedded education

  • Real-time borrowing capacity and deal creation

  • Advanced CRM tagging and client journeys

  • Task and team management capabilities

SFG gave brokers a deep dive into the new platform at last week’s national conference, held at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground.

“You've already got the best system in the marketplace and it's about to get a whole stack better,” Buchanan told the audience.

The conference was hailed as a massive hit, thanks to inspiring discussions from iconic Australians, including cricket legend Glen McGrath (pictured below, in discussion with SFG managing director William Lockett), athlete and philanthropist Nedd Brockmann, and Australian of the Year recipient Dr Richard Harris.

Buchanan ended the conference with an uplifting message: “Ladies and gentlemen, purpose binds us to success. This conference is about purpose. Live your purpose. It binds us to success. If you've forgotten what your purpose is, or you don't have one, let's go exploring and find that together. Live with purpose, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so much for your attendance today.”
