In today’s competitive business environment, brokers have an unprecedented range of options available to help them and their clients achieve success.
That's why ANZ are particularly proud to have been named MPA's preferred bank for commercial broking for the third time since 2022.
According to Ivan Mioc, ANZ's managing director of commercial broker and origination, their success is built on a very simple idea: partnership.
“Everything we do is built on the tripartite relationship between broker, banker and client,” said Mioc. "We work hand-in-hand with our brokers to understand their client’s business needs and financial flows so that we can provide tailored solutions that improve everyone's business outcomes.”
Simpler processes for faster financing
In addition to ANZ’s commitment to working with brokers, another key focus is making the path to finance as simple as possible.
“For eligible clients, ANZ offers lending processes that are designed to reduce turnarounds for simple applications from weeks to days and sometimes even minutes” said Mioc.
ANZ’s GoBiz lending platform integrates directly with a client’s eligible accounting software to provide conditional approval for unsecured loans of up to $500,000 in 20 minutes, with funds typically available within two days of signed documents being returned to ANZ.
Similarly, ANZ’s Rapid Refinance process allows clients with a clear credit history to refinance for up to $1.5m with as little as an application form and 12 months of current loan statements.
“Our goal is to save brokers time and effort by streamlining the way they interact with us, which means everyone has more time to focus on understanding the client’s needs,” said Mioc.
Personalised support from industry experts
When you become an accredited broker with ANZ, you willl be aligned with a business banker, broker account manager (for deals up to $1.5m) and relationship manager (for $1.5m+), who will work together with you at every stage of a deal, from origination to fulfilment.
“The ANZ team is committed to helping accredited brokers identify commercial opportunities and structure solutions for their clients’ needs,” said Mioc. "We know that the key to creating sustainable financial solutions for clients is working closely with brokers to understand the full picture of their financial position and goals.”
The ANZ commercial broker team also offers brokers access to a deep level of local and sector-specific knowledge, with specialist industry bankers and account managers who cover healthcare, agribusiness, franchising, asset finance and more.
“We recently introduced a dedicated senior national property broker manager, which has proven extremely valuable to our aggregator and broker partners, and we are also introducing a dedicated senior national agribusiness broker manager” said Mioc.
This combination of hands-on support and industry knowledge means that ANZ are specialists in complex loan management and can structure custom financial solutions to meet a client’s unique situation.
“Personal relationships are what makes commercial broking effective,” said Mioc. “Our brokers get to work with people who understand their sector, their clients and their business needs – leading to better results across the board.”
Better resources for better broking
Information is the oil that powers the broking sector. Getting the best outcomes isn’t simply a case of shopping around for the lowest rate. It’s about understanding industry trends and economic factors, so that you’re securing the most sustainable value for your clients.
For ANZ, the aim is to give accredited brokers free and easy access to resources, training and guidance from experts who have spent years operating in their sector and understand exactly what you need to know to succeed.”
Another focus for the team is helping retail brokers take their first steps into commercial lending, delivering workshops and training to help brokers build confidence as they start to write commercial deals.
“We don’t just want our broker’s clients to succeed,” said Mioc. “We’re also dedicated to helping them grow their own business, discovering new opportunities and building those relationships that will lead to the next opportunity.”
ANZ is open for business
Streamlined processes, hands-on support and deep industry knowledge. To Mioc it all says one thing: ANZ is open for business.
“Whether it’s a start-up's first round of financing or an established corporate taking their next step, our team can help you make it happen,” said Mioc. “We’re always open to workshopping deals to get the best loan structure for you and your clients - quickly and simply.”
“We’re proud of what we’ve already achieved when it comes to business broking and we’re going to continue to lead the way, working together with our broker community to deliver exceptional results for both them and their clients.”
