‘These homes are more than just a roof over someone’s head – they’re a chance to feel safe’

Brokers from Loan Market Group and its wider community have raised more than $100,000 in just three months through the Share Tomorrow Foundation.
Launched in April, the Share Tomorrow Foundation has already completed two major fundraising campaigns.
Its most recent effort, the ‘20 by 30’ campaign in partnership with Friends With Dignity, aimed to fund 20 fully furnished sanctuary homes for families fleeing domestic violence by 30 June.
Through the efforts of LMG team members, brokers, and the Ray White network – which contributed more than $50,000 – the Foundation fully funded 10 homes and helped create 24 in total, surpassing its original target.
“These homes are more than just a roof over someone’s head – they’re a chance to feel safe, start fresh and rebuild with dignity,” said Carly Lloyd (pictured), chair of the Share Tomorrow Foundation and LMG's chief people officer. “Brokers have shown that when they get behind something meaningful, they go all in. Share Tomorrow is about helping them channel that care into real, lasting impact.”
Brokers have been personally involved in the initiative, with many volunteering to set up sanctuary homes.
Samantha Barnett, director of Loan Market Scenic, described the emotional impact of helping a family reunite after more than a year apart due to shelter restrictions.
“I recently had the privilege of setting up a Sanctuary Home for a mother and her children. It wasn’t just a safe place, it was the first time they’d been able to live together in over a year,” said Barnett. “The women’s shelter they had been staying in couldn’t accommodate boys over the age of 16, so they had been separated. This home didn’t just provide safety, it united a family back together.”
The Foundation’s momentum began at LMG’s Growth Summit, where the Wild West Give Fest raised over $42,000 for communities affected by Cyclone Alfred.
Looking ahead, the Share Tomorrow Foundation plans to continue empowering brokers to lead purpose-driven campaigns, providing resources and partnerships to make giving back easier and even more effective.
