Fintech lender expands global ecosystem with e-commerce AI platform
Bizcap has announced the acquisition of 8fig, a US-based fintech that has delivered more than US$500 million in funding to online sellers, marking a major step in Bizcap’s global expansion.
The Melbourne-based non-bank lender confirmed that 8fig will become part of the Bizcap Group, operating under its existing brand and leadership while gaining access to Bizcap’s global capital, operational expertise, and technology network.
Founded in 2020, 8fig developed the “AI CFO” platform, which helps e-commerce sellers plan, forecast, and scale their businesses using intelligent funding tools.
Partnership strengthens Bizcap’s global growth strategy
Bizcap Global co-founder and co-CEO Albert Gahfi (pictured left) said the partnership reinforces the group’s mission to empower small businesses with smart, technology-led financial solutions.
“We’re impressed not just by 8fig’s technology, but by how it’s built – with a strong focus on customer needs, adaptability, and long-term success,” Gahfi said.
“8fig has the right platform, the right people, and the right mindset to make a global impact, and we’re excited to combine that strength with Bizcap’s reach and expertise to broaden our product offering and accelerate market penetration.”
Bizcap and its affiliates – including NewCo Capital Group in the US – have provided more than US$3 billion in funding to SMEs worldwide, spanning Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe. The group is also planning expansion into Mexico as part of its next growth phase.
AI meets capital
Through its partnership with 8fig, Bizcap will deepen its capabilities in automated underwriting, AI-driven lending, and real-time cash flow analysis, giving SMEs and brokers access to faster, more flexible funding options.
For advisers and referral partners, the integration means a broader suite of products – from working capital and credit lines to structured growth funding – designed to meet the evolving needs of SMEs across global markets.
Bizcap Global co-founder and co-CEO Zalman Blachman (pictured centre) said 8fig’s AI-driven systems align with Bizcap’s mission to revolutionise small business finance.
“8fig turns complexity into speed, accuracy, and intelligence,” Blachman said. “Their innovation amplifies our mission to deliver fast, flexible capital and positions Bizcap at the forefront of the future of small business lending.”
Bizcap will integrate 8fig’s proprietary AI tools across its platforms, enabling the development of cheaper, longer-term funding products and driving its next stage of international market growth.
Empowering e-commerce and SME expansion
8fig CEO Yaron Shapira (pictured right) said the partnership will enable the company to expand its technology, enter new markets, and form strategic alliances backed by Bizcap’s scale and capital access.
“Our mission remains the same: empowering SMEs and e-commerce businesses to scale globally. With Bizcap’s talented team beside us, we’re ready to take that mission to new heights,” Shapira said.
8fig’s AI platform is designed to combine continuous, flexible growth capital with data-driven forecasting and inventory planning, helping online businesses optimise working capital and manage cash flow with precision.
