New GM doubles down on support for Kiwi advisers
Haven Financial Advisers has promoted long‑time executive Louise Gordon (pictured) to general manager, in a move aimed at accelerating growth and strengthening support for its nationwide adviser network.
Gordon, who has been with Haven for nearly a decade, was most recently chief operations officer and has “driven operational excellence and built a strong foundation for the business, leading the implementation of enhanced client engagement and streamlined processes”.
In her new role, she will shape Haven’s strategic direction, grow the advice team and drive commercial performance while maintaining a strong focus on client outcomes.
“We're thrilled to have Louise leading our business in this new role,” said Craig Baldwin, managing director for Haven Financial Advisers. “Her expertise and dedication will be instrumental in driving our continued success and delivering the best possible experience for our advisers and clients”.
What the appointment means for Kiwi advisers
Gordon brings a deep background in linking strategy to day‑to‑day execution. As COO she focused on process optimisation, scalable internal systems, and provider relationships, while as head of client services she oversaw Haven’s end‑to‑end service model, including complex underwriting, claims advocacy and adviser support.
“I’m excited to step into this new challenge and lead Haven’s talented team,” Gordon said. “I’m looking forward to shaping our strategic direction, fostering our collaborative culture, and growing our team of passionate advisers who share our commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes. Haven’s unique blend of support, innovation, and growth opportunities makes it an attractive place to build a career – and I’m eager to welcome like‑minded advisers to join us on this journey”.
