Cathie Crampton joins LJ Hooker ahead of 100-year milestone
LJ Hooker has appointed Cathie Crampton (pictured) as its new head of property management Australia and New Zealand, a newly created role designed to strengthen the group’s presence across its trans-Tasman franchise network.
Crampton brings more than two decades of property management leadership, most recently serving as national head of network PM performance and growth at Belle Property.
She will oversee growth in LJ Hooker’s property management portfolio, profitability, and skills development.
“I’m thrilled to be joining LJ Hooker as it approaches 100 years in the real estate industry,” Crampton said. “LJ Hooker has traditionally held an industry-leading presence in the property management market in Australia and New Zealand. I want to reinvigorate this legacy and create lasting value for agents and investors.”
Her appointment comes as lower interest rates in 2025 have begun to draw more property investors back into the market. This is lifting demand for professional property management to maximise yields and compliance in a tighter regulatory environment.
Strategic focus on growth and service
Crampton said the opportunity to shape LJ Hooker’s property management strategy was a key motivator.
“I was drawn to this role through LJ Hooker’s desire to position property management strategically. It’s an exciting partnership,” she said. “I’m looking forward to working with franchisees, agency property managers and office staff to grow their capabilities, implement our group strategy and, ultimately, provide the highest levels of service to investors and tenants.”

LJ Hooker CEO Christine Mikhael said Crampton’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the network.

New era for LJ Hooker
Crampton joins as LJ Hooker continues to evolve its brand. Earlier in 2025, the network launched The Difference platform to refresh its positioning, with the business set to mark its centenary in 2028.
“A centenary of operations is an incredible legacy,” Crampton said. “I intend to make a difference by leveling up LJ Hooker’s property management business and the organisation overall.”
