Farmer Mac CFO moves on, Cenlar hires Freedom Mortgage executive

The Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac) announced the departure of its longtime chief financial officer and treasurer, Aparna Ramesh (pictured left), who has accepted the position of chief executive officer at the Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBanks) Office of Finance.

Ramesh, who joined Farmer Mac in 2020, will remain in her current role through July 31. The company plans to conduct a nationwide search for her successor.

Farmer Mac, a secondary market provider supporting US agricultural and rural infrastructure lending, credited Ramesh with strengthening its financial operations and overseeing the company’s securitization program.

“Aparna's expertise and judgment have contributed to Farmer Mac's strong financial foundation. She has cultivated an outstanding finance team and advanced our robust securitization program, setting the stage for our continued growth and success" said Farmer Mac president and CEO Brad Nordholm. "While we are sad to see Aparna leave us, we are proud that Farmer Mac continues to be a springboard to new opportunities for talented leaders.

“We wish Aparna every success in her new role and are grateful for the legacy she leaves behind."

Ramesh joined Farmer Mac in 2020 and expressed confidence in the organization’s continued direction.

“Since I joined the company in 2020, I have witnessed firsthand the unwavering commitment of my colleagues and the leadership team to advancing Farmer Mac's mission,” she said.
