LMG expands lending support with BDM appointments

New hires take up state roles in South Australia and Western Australia

LMG expands lending support with BDM appointments

LMG has widened its in-house lending support, naming new business development managers (BDMs) for South Australia and Western Australia as the aggregator continues to build out LMG Lending.

Bec Barrett (pictured top right) will head LMG Lending in South Australia after 17 years across NAB and its subsidiary Medfin Finance.

In Western Australia, Jodie Hanson (pictured top left) has been appointed to lead the LMG Lending effort, arriving from Pepper Money where she spent the past four years as senior BDM.

Ewen Stafford of LMGEwen Stafford (pictured right), executive director and chief executive of LMG, said the hires were intended to strengthen the group’s proprietary lending offer for brokers, with products designed in consultation with the broker network to address policy gaps and approval turnaround times.

“Growth in South Australia’s and Western Australia’s real estate markets in recent times has encouraged more customers to engage brokers to navigate competitive conditions,” Stafford stated. “Our focus is ensuring brokers have the tools to structure deals and deliver exceptional outcomes.

“Bec and Jodie each bring extensive lending experience to LMG and will support our brokers to uncover even more solutions for their customers.”

Barrett’s previous work at Medfin focused on supporting medical practitioners and brokers, often structuring finance solutions around specialist customer needs.

“I love working directly with clients,” Barrett said. “The opportunity to represent LMG – which has always had a strong reputation – and help brokers offer more to their clients was really appealing.”

Hanson, who previously spent 18 months overseeing Pepper Money’s Loan Market network in Western Australia, has returned to familiar contacts in her new post. She said she had been working through LMG Lending’s product range with brokers.

“It’s been exciting to dive into the suite of LMG Lending offerings, from Apollo to Zeus, Go Beyond and Bridgit by LMG, and showing brokers who they can take advantage of these products,” she added.
