Appointment marks a homecoming for Griffin

Mortgage aggregator LMG has rounded out its national leadership structure with the appointment of Mel Griffin (pictured) to the newly created regional director – north role.
It marks a return to LMG for Griffin, who left in 2023 to take on the role as NSW state manager with competitor aggregator Connective. Under the role, she will leader broker-facing teams across NSW, ACT and Queensland.
Griffin's appointment follows the recruitment of Andrew Sammut as regional director – south in June.
Commenting on her homecoming, Griffin praised LMG as “a broker-first business”.
She said: “It’s family-owned, and you feel that straight away. Everything it does is designed to help brokers grow outstanding businesses.
“But what really struck me is how much LMG has continued to invest in technology, AI, data intelligence and cyber security, the kind of specialist support that makes a real difference to build stronger, resilient businesses”.
LMG national director Rob Thomas added: “Mel knows what brokers need because she’s been one, and she’s spent her career backing them.
“She understands that success isn’t just about tools and tech, it’s about the people behind you. And Mel’s the kind of leader who shows up and knows how to connect businesses with the right support.”
