Cross-border alliance strengthens broker reach and lending access
Aggregation network Finsure Group has announced a strategic partnership with New Zealand-based financial adviser group Plaxo, marking a significant step in both firms’ trans-Tasman growth ambitions.
Finsure NZ country head Jenny Campbell (pictured) said the collaboration builds on Plaxo’s impressive success in the New Zealand market and positions both groups for future expansion.
“York [Zhang] and his talented team are a showcase for what a clear vision and dynamic business model can deliver,” Campbell said.
“The success the Plaxo group have achieved to this point is outstanding, but they are only just getting started. When we first discussed how Finsure could support their ambitious plans, the alignment was obvious and I’m excited to bring Finsure into their journey.”
Partnership fuels cross-border growth
Founded in 2006, Plaxo has grown to become one of New Zealand’s top-performing adviser networks. The group recently established an office in Australia as part of its expansion strategy – a move Finsure has actively supported.
“While Plaxo maintain their headquarters in NZ, they have also set up an office in Australia, which was something Finsure has been proud to support,” Campbell said.
The partnership combines Finsure’s aggregation expertise with Plaxo’s established reputation across residential, investment, and commercial finance, opening new opportunities for brokers and clients on both sides of the Tasman.
Plaxo targets continued momentum after top ranking
Plaxo managing director York Zhang said the partnership with Finsure would help accelerate the group’s long-term growth plans while enhancing service delivery for clients.
“Joining forces with Finsure is central to achieving our strategic goals,” Zhang said.
“Plaxo was proudly ranked #1 on the Top Brokerage 2025 list with NZ Adviser. For almost two decades we have successfully obtained the support of many customers, including first-time home buyers, real estate investors and business owners.”
“Our accreditation with New Zealand’s main banks and finance institutions makes us ideally placed to assist individuals and businesses find the most suitable and cost-effective financial solutions available to them and to achieve their financial goals and objectives.”
Stronger network for brokers across both markets
The alliance underscores growing collaboration between Australian aggregators and New Zealand adviser networks, reflecting the increasing cross-border demand for integrated mortgage, investment, and business finance solutions.
