Top lenders recognised for service, trust, and adviser support
NZ Adviser has announced the winners of its inaugural Advisers on Lenders 2025 report, revealing the mortgage lenders rated highest by advisers across New Zealand.
The report identifies the banks and non-banks that have excelled in adviser relationships, product quality, credit policy, and business development manager (BDM) support — critical factors driving client satisfaction in a competitive lending landscape.
Lenders leading the way
This year’s top lenders include:
Westpac NZ earned high praise for its flexible credit policy, redraw options, and responsive BDM team, while ANZ New Zealand stood out for its competitive interest rates, quick turnaround times, and brand trust. Xceda, meanwhile, was the top-rated specialist lender for its adaptable solutions and strong adviser relationships.
Adviser priorities in 2025
The findings revealed that speed, clear communication, and consistency are the most important qualities advisers seek from lenders. Turnaround times, credit policy, and product flexibility were ranked as key drivers of satisfaction.
Adviser feedback described Westpac as offering “huge flexibility” and a seamless process, while ANZ was commended for providing efficient, client-focused service.
Building stronger partnerships
The results highlight how adviser–lender partnerships continue to evolve amid regulatory and market changes. Advisers noted that trust, transparency and strong BDM support remain vital to long-term collaboration.
