Nicola Willis to headline Financial Advice New Zealand conference

Nicola Willis (pictured above), New Zealand’s minister of finance, minister for economic growth, and minister for social investment, is set to deliver a keynote address at the upcoming Financial Advice New Zealand National Adviser Conference.

The event will take place in Christchurch April 1-3, with Willis speaking on the second day, themed “Shaping the Future of Advice.”

Government and regulatory insights

Willis’ presentation will round out a series of talks given by prominent figures such as Financial Market Authority CEO Samantha Barrass and Commerce Commission Deputy Chair Anne Callinan.

Together, these speakers will provide a comprehensive overview of the government and regulatory landscape as it pertains to financial advice in New Zealand.

Nick Hakes, CEO of Financial Advice New Zealand, expressed his enthusiasm for the lineup.

Nicola Willis’ background and expertise

Prior to her political career, Willis held senior roles at Fonterra and served on boards such as Export NZ and the New Zealand Initiative. She also worked closely with former Prime Minister John Key as a senior advisor during his first term.
