Veterans tapped to lead strategic expansion in non-QM and multifamily finance divisions

Two mortgage industry veterans have stepped into new roles as ARDRI and Western Alliance Bank bolster their leadership teams.
ARDRI, a non-qualified mortgage (non-QM) and business-purpose lender, has named Kevin O'Shaughnessy (pictured left) as its new vice president of wholesale production. O’Shaughnessy has been active in the non-QM space since 2001 and has held roles across sales and operations, including co-founding a large non-QM direct lender and launching a boutique institutional platform.
At ARDRI, he will lead the company’s wholesale division expansion. His responsibilities include improving execution and maintaining service levels as the company scales.
ARDRI has positioned itself as a lender that combines technology and personalized service to grow its non-QM market share.
Meanwhile, Western Alliance Bank has appointed Charles Jones (pictured right) as senior director of multifamily housing finance. He will oversee financing strategies for developers nationwide, including those focused on workforce housing.
Jones brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate finance experience. Most recently, he was managing director and vice president of originations at M&T Realty Capital Corporation. He previously held a similar position at Hunt Real Estate Capital (now Lument) and spent nine years at Fannie Mae’s multifamily division, where he worked with large publicly and privately held operators.
Earlier in his career, Jones worked at Citylink Investment Corporation in San Diego, where he managed private placements and real estate investment planning.

Monika Suarez, managing director for several Western Alliance divisions, said Jones’s addition will support the bank’s efforts to expand products for multifamily developers and address community housing needs.
“He brings deep and nuanced expertise in commercial real estate finance to the role, which will serve our customers and our communities as we continue to expand our offerings to meet the needs of builders, developers and residents across the US,” Suarez said.
