All-mortgage, all the time — network, learn, and thrive at this year’s can’t-miss event
Welcoming one-broker shops to giant brokerage firms, from local and regional players to those with a national reach, if there’s one thing AIME’s annual Fuse event promises, it’s that if you’re in the industry, it’s where you need to be this October.
"When you’ve been in the trenches of sales for 13 years, you recognize the energy, the drive, and the competitive spirit it takes to win,” says Jonathon Haddad, AIME Chairman & CEO. “Fuse captures that atmosphere. It’s where brokers who live and breathe sales come together to sharpen their skills, learn from the best, and bring that same winning mindset back to their businesses."
An ‘all-mortgage-all-the-time’ immersive experience
Always designed as an all-mortgage-all-the-time bash, this year Fuse is even more immersive. Hosted at the impressive Gaylord Opryland Resort just outside Nashville, it creates a true escape where brokers can live and breathe the industry.
From special VIP experiences, such as a brunch with Damon West, to dedicated networking spaces, the event offers an all-inclusive layout that allows attendees to move seamlessly between breakout sessions, the exhibit hall, and social events. The idea is to create an escape from the day-to-day grind, allowing brokers to focus on the information at hand.
“We want to make it easy for everybody,” explains Tommy Golightly. “Our vision is that nobody needs to go too far to get to any of the events. We have so much content jampacked into the three days, and we want them to get the most out of being there.”
Attendees can expect a packed agenda featuring main stage speakers — both returning favorites and exciting new voices — who address the latest industry trends and best practices. There are also 24 breakout sessions on a variety of hot topics, including AI, with several member-submitted presentations, providing participants the chance to both learn and lead.
Beyond the educational content, Fuse is all about connection and camaraderie. There are interactive experiences, such as a Nashville-themed mechanical “bull” shaped like a guitar, where attendees can let loose, and a podcast booth where they can record and share their stories, which can be branded in any of the AIME Podcast Network brands. But it’s between the scheduled events and behind the scenes where some of the richest moments happen.
A rising tide lifts all boats
Other brokers may technically be competitors, but the sentiment “a rising tide lifts all boats” drives this event. There’s an atmosphere of genuine care, encouragement, and validation that defines the Fuse experience, making it a place where professional growth and human connection go hand in hand.
For example, last year saw a brand-new broker take a leap of faith, join AIME, and attend Fuse with an all-access ticket. They walked into the VIP room and were greeted with warmth and generosity as more seasoned brokers were quick to offer support as they learned the ropes. It was a welcome that stuck with them. Then there was the set of handwritten notes left behind after a session — notes that were so meaningful to their owner that the chance reunion with them at the airport felt like a movie moment.
“Taking the time to capture those insights showed how impactful the session was, and it was a fun connector for me,” recalls Kristie Gray, Executive Administrator and Events Director at AIME, who returned the notes at the airport. “They learned something they wanted to take back. That’s the main thing for Jonathan, our Chairman & CEO. He pushed that into all the speakers this year: let’s give them takeaways to implement immediately.”
Another highlight for Golightly is seeing AIME’s Facebook group come to life. The active online community sees a lot of collaboration, and Fuse allows those members to meet in person — or forge new connections that they can reach out to going forward. A lot of relationships have grown from those sideline meetings, he notes, and Gray echoes this, noting she’s always thrilled to see the fostering of support networks.
“They want to help each other: that's what's so amazing to see year after year,” she says. “There's this unbelievable willingness to share knowledge.”
One room, one community, one mission
While always a headliner, this year the excitement leading up to Fuse seems to be at a fever pitch. With tickets being snapped up and hotel blocks already over 80 per cent full, “we’re reaching goals quicker than we usually do,” Golightly reports.
Not only is that surge attributed to Fuse’s growing reputation as a can’t-miss industry event, but also because it’s more accessible than ever. Annual premium members receive a complimentary ticket as part of their membership, and Gray adds that she’d venture to say this year is shaping up to be the best one yet.
“The number of speakers, the calibre of the speakers, the breadth of topics; the value for your ticket price is the highest it's ever been,” she notes.
The tagline for the event — One room, one community, one mission: helping brokers close more loans — really says it all. The sole goal is to foster a community of like-minded professionals intent on growing their business.
Simply put, attending Fuse on October 23-25 is about taking control of your destiny — and AIME couldn’t be happier to help you do it.
"Growth starts with self-reflection. You’ve got to look at yourself, put both hands up, and understand that the only way things change is if you take action,” Haddad says. “Fuse is designed to equip you with the same tools and strategies the top originators are using right now, but at the end of the day, it’s on you to use those two hands and put them into play."
