A new presidency sets out to strengthen NAMB’s foundation, modernize its resources and open more doors across the mortgage industry
Every association has a moment when it has to decide what it wants to be next. For NAMB, that moment is now, and I am honored to step into it as your President.
NAMB is entering this chapter from a position of strength, built over more than five decades by founding members and protected by generations of leaders and boards. I think of it as a house, one that has sheltered mortgage professionals through every market cycle. Like any generational home, there comes a time to strengthen its pillars, modernize its resources, and prepare it for the people who will live there next.
I have spent time in this house. Through NAMB's committees, Industry Partners, Strategic Sponsors and State Leadership, I have worked alongside the dedicated members who make this association run. I also came up under strong leaders. Kimber White served as President in 2025-2026 and Jim Nabors in 2024-2025, and I am grateful to them and to every Past President who gave me their time, their experience, and their mentorship.
I am equally grateful to the 11 Officers and Directors I get to serve with. They are exceptional partners, and I could not ask for a better team to start this year with.
Here is what MORE means
It starts with a simple idea: NAMB is bringing MORE.
The first step is a new interactive Daily Dashboard, designed to put NAMB at your fingertips every day. It brings together industry news, guideline searching, legislative and regulatory updates, interactive forums and webinars, and learning journeys that help you expand your knowledge, sharpen your skills, and pursue professional certifications.
My goal is to give the Modern Mortgage Professional greater access to the information, education, resources, and opportunities needed to succeed.
Beyond the Dashboard, we will keep strengthening our state affiliates, building bridges across the industry, and working more closely with our Industry Partners. We will also create real openings for Young Professionals and emerging state leaders to step forward and lead.
Through all of it, we are not changing the foundation of NAMB. We are building on each pillar.
A challenge for you
NAMB is never about one person, one year, or one board. It is an association that is adaptive, resourceful, protective, and inclusive of everyone who wants to be a professional member of our house.
So here is my challenge, starting at NAMB National 2026 and continuing all year: step outside your comfort zone. Meet someone new. Build a relationship. Try an idea that makes you a little uncomfortable. Then take home MORE than you came with.
More knowledge. More relationships. More resources. More opportunities.
If you are a broker, a loan officer, a Young Professional just getting started, or a partner who believes in this industry, know this: NAMB is your home, and every door within it is open to you.
Let's make this year count.
