How The Mortgage Introducer Awards positively impacts business

Nominate and celebrate the industry's best performers in 2025

How The Mortgage Introducer Awards positively impacts business

“Winning the award last year has made a massive difference to both myself as an individual, and the firm I work for,” said Michael Hayes (pictured above) of his win at The Mortgage Introducer Awards. “Within the first couple of days of winning the award I had a number of new leads come through just off the back of the social media coverage from the awards night. Posting the awards win on social media led to a large increase in our following and increased engagement for our business.”

Hayes, from Neal Hayes Mortgages, took home the title of Broker of the Year (Individual Award) in 2024, and is certain of the positive impact his success has had in the months since. “It was a massive confidence boost for myself just to be nominated against the other excellent mortgage brokers in my category who had also had fantastic years, and so to win the award topped it all off.”

Hayes is full of praise for the awards night too. “It was a great opportunity to network with other successful lenders and intermediaries at the same time and that experience alone was invaluable,” he said. Hayes urged: “For anyone who is thinking about nominating themselves, I’d highly recommend it.”

Hayes’ words are timely -  there is a fresh opportunity to shine a spotlight on the very best talent in the industry, and to ensure that those who deserve recognition for their great work are celebrated at The Mortgage Introducer Awards 2025. With nominations underway for this year's awards, it’s a chance for everyone, right across the industry, to have their say and highlight superb achievements in the industry.

The Mortgage Introducer Awards will be held at Old Billingsgate in London on Wednesday December 3, but nominations are already coming in, in preparation for the big night. The annual ceremony celebrates excellence in the UK mortgage industry, noting the successes of mortgage lenders, distributors, brokers, and individuals alike. The event is an incomparable opportunity for professionals in the mortgage industry to come together, network, and celebrate their successes.

With over 30 categories in total, including Best Buy-to-Let Lender, Best Specialist Lender, Private Bank of the Year, and Mortgage Network of the Year, the awards also recognise individual achievements, with categories such as Innovator Champion of the Year and Rising Star of the Year.

The joy of winning

Danielle Rasor (pictured inset above), associate director of Fitch & Fitch, acknowledges the very real impact that a win can have on your business afterwards.  It was named Broker Firm of the Year (11 to 50 Advisers) last year. “Since the win, we’ve seen our lender partnerships strengthen, our presence in the market grow, and our industry profile rise,” Rasor reflected. “Awards like these are so important for recognising and celebrating the firms that set benchmarks for excellence and inspire others to achieve the same. At Fitch & Fitch, we hope to do just that.”

Rasor clearly values the acknowledgement the award brings. “It has been both a real honour and a meaningful endorsement of the standards we hold ourselves to at Fitch & Fitch,” she shared. “Because the award is decided by our peers and lending partners, it feels like genuine recognition of the care we put into every client relationship and every recommendation we make.”

Meanwhile, winning Specialist Lender of the Year at the Mortgage Introducer Awards last year was a real moment of pride for everyone at Foundation Home Loans, suggests its director of sales, Grant Hendry (pictured with his colleagues, inset above)

“It was a fantastic endorsement of the work we carry out to support brokers and to deliver product choice and flexibility for customers who don’t always fit a mainstream mould,” said Hendry. “In a competitive and fast-moving market, it meant a great deal to be recognised by those who voted and the judges for excellence in this specific product area.

“The award gave our teams across the business, from sales to underwriting, marketing to product development, a real boost. It reinforced the impact of their hard work and reminded us all why it’s so important to keep innovating and listening to what brokers and their clients really need. It also helped raise our profile further, opening up new conversations and opportunities off the back of the recognition.”

He added: “To anyone thinking about nominating themselves, their team or a business they admire, we’d simply say: do it. These awards celebrate the firms that are driving the industry forward, and there is real value in stepping up and sharing your story. Whether you’re shortlisted or win, the process is a positive one, and the recognition, if it comes, can make a real difference.”

Nominations remains open until August 15, and you can put yourself or others forward. The shortlist will be announced in September, with winners announced on the night of the awards ceremony.
