It's your chance to shine a light on the best in the industry

Turning your attention to the winter spectacular that is The Mortgage Introducer Awards 2025 may seem a little premature amid the gloriously sunny days we have been enjoying this summer, but would you believe that there is less than a month to go now, before nominations close for this December’s big event?
Yes, the final day to nominate yourself or an industry colleague for one of the top honours at this year’s awards is just over three weeks away. And, before we know it, The Mortgage Introducer Awards will be getting underway at Old Billingsgate in London on Wednesday December 3.
It is a chance for everyone, right across the industry, to have their say and highlight those in the industry whose work is truly superb. The annual ceremony celebrates excellence in the UK mortgage industry, noting the achievements of mortgage lenders, distributors, brokers, and individuals alike. The event is a unique opportunity for professionals in the mortgage industry to come together, network, and celebrate their successes.
“These accolades are more than recognition - they can truly define careers,” commented Paul Hunt (pictured left), managing director of Square 1 Media and one of the Awards judges. "We know how hard professionals across the sector work to deliver for clients and to keep standards high. Awards like these not only reward that commitment but also set a benchmark for others. Being recognised at this level gives winners and finalists a lasting platform for their expertise and their reputation.”
Ryan McGrath (pictured right), director of second charge mortgages at Pepper Money, said it was proud to be named Secured Loan Lender of the Year at last year’s Awards. “This achievement reflects the dedication and excellence of our incredible team,” he commented. “Recognition from the industry reinforces our commitment to delivering outstanding service, driving innovation and setting the standard for our sector.”
Hunt acknowledges how The Mortgage Introducer Awards continue to shine a light on excellence across the sector. “It’s right that we celebrate talent and success in this way,” he said. “These awards remind the market just how much quality and talent there is in the industry - and how important it is to recognise it."
With over 30 categories in total, including Best Buy-to-Let Lender, Best Specialist Lender, Private Bank of the Year, and Mortgage Network of the Year, the awards also recognise individual achievements, with categories such as Innovator Champion of the Year and Rising Star of the Year.

Elation at winning
Last year, London-based Fitch & Fitch was named winner of Broker Firm of the Year (11 to 50 Advisers). Its head of sales, Danielle Rasor was clearly delighted to step on stage to accept its well-deserved trophy. “It was a really challenging category to be in,” observed Rasor (who is inset above, with Grant Hendry, from the award sponsor Foundations Home Loans). “The firms we were up against are some of the leaders in the industry, so I was absolutely elated and thrilled to have won. We spin a lot of plates and, if I say so myself, we spin them really well. That, I think, is probably what gave us the edge, that we really are making effort in all the right areas.”
The Mortgage Introducer Awards again promises to be the biggest event in the UK mortgage industry calendar. Certainly, this year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever, with more categories, more nominations, and more attendees than ever before. In short, it is a must-attend event for anyone in the industry, providing an opportunity to showcase the achievements of its most impressive personnel, to build connections, and celebrate the best of the best in the industry.
Sponsors for the evening include big names such as Barclays, LendInvest Mortgages, Mortgage Advice Bureau, Uinsure, e.surv Chartered Surveyors, Lightfoots Solicitors, Key Media, The Bridging & Development Lenders Association, Paymentshield, and Blacks Solicitors.
