Gen H and JN Bank UK announce partnership

Fintech mortgage lender Gen H has announced a new forward-flow funding agreement with JN Bank UK. The collaboration represents Gen H’s fourth institutional partnership in 2025 and is intended to increase the company’s lending capacity and support the delivery of mortgage products aimed at addressing evolving market needs.

Founded in 2019, Gen H offers mortgage products featuring flexible eligibility criteria and support options for prospective buyers. The lender’s approach includes initiatives such as family-supported affordability and its New Build Boost programme. The firm has positioned itself as a technology-led operator in the mortgage space, offering digital tools and design features intended to simplify the borrowing process.

With this agreement, Gen H aims to continue expanding its product range and support more applicants navigating the housing market. The funding will assist the company in originating new loans and scaling its operations.

Graham McClelland (pictured), CEO of Gen H, said the deal reflects the company’s aim to adapt mortgage products to meet modern financial circumstances. “This funding partnership gives us the firepower to help more buyers succeed, with products built around their real financial lives, not outdated assumptions,” McClelland said. “We’re grateful to JN Bank UK for backing our mission.”

JN Bank UK, established in 2020 by JN Financial Group Limited, is part of the Jamaica National Group. The bank focuses on digital savings and lending services. In 2024, it received a £20 million investment from Step One Money UK to support its growth plans. The organisation has reintroduced deposit products and appointed Chris Waring as CEO in January 2025 to advance its development strategy.

“Our continued vision is to build on the bank’s legacy and evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers in an ever increasingly digital world,” said Waring. “Our partnership with Gen H aligns with our values and strategic growth ambitions to ensure more customers have access to a broader range of solutions to meet their goals.”
