Specialist lenders make key personnel announcements

Three specialist lenders have announced senior promotions and appointments to bolster operations and drive business growth across the UK lending market.

Funding 365 has promoted Jonathan Brooks (pictured far left) to head of finance and Katie Spitz (pictured second from left) to deputy head of underwriting. Both joined the lender through its graduate programme.

Brooks, who holds a degree in economics, has been with Funding 365 for nine years and has experience in both underwriting and finance. In his new role, he will continue supporting clients with their funding needs while taking on responsibility for company financing and treasury operations.

Spitz, who has a degree in management, has become a key member of the underwriting team. As deputy head of underwriting, she will mentor new graduate underwriters and support the firm’s client service delivery.

Meanwhile, Reward Funding has appointed Carl Perry (pictured second from right) as business development director in its Birmingham office to expand its presence in the Midlands.

Perry brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services, having worked in commercial banking and senior lending roles in challenger and alternative finance firms. He will focus on growing Reward’s network of introducers and providing flexible asset-secured funding solutions for SMEs across the region.

In a similar move, Inspired Lending has named Nathan Wilson (pictured far right) as lending manager, reinforcing its team as it grows its short-term lending business.

Wilson previously spent nearly 10 years at United Trust Bank in bridging finance, and most recently served as a senior bridging underwriter at Hampshire Trust Bank. In 2022, he received the Benson Hersch Memorial Award from the Bridging and Development Lenders Association for his service and industry relationships.

In his new role, he will oversee underwriting, case management, and business development, working closely with brokers to ensure efficient case progression.
