Together adds Flynn to board as non-executive director

Appointment bolsters oversight at £8 billion loan book lender

Together adds Flynn to board as non-executive director

Specialist property lender Together has named Mike Flynn (pictured right) as a non-executive director on its board.

Flynn will sit on the board as representative of the founder’s family and brings more than 20 years’ experience in corporate governance, strategy and operations. He has previously acted as a shareholder observer at Together, gaining insight into the business while supporting its shareholder interests.

Established 51 years ago by founder Henry Moser, Together now manages a loan book of about £8 billion, including residential, buy-to-let and commercial mortgages, as well as bridging, auction and development finance.

Flynn is group chief executive of Bracken Property Company, where he oversees the Moser family’s property portfolio. He also serves as a non-executive director on the Improveasy Group board, and has led businesses across the property, utilities and civil engineering sectors.

Earlier in his career, he held senior roles including director at Network Plus Services Limited, a utilities and infrastructure provider, alongside other executive posts in civil engineering and utilities.

“I am delighted to join the board of Together at such an exciting time for the business,” Flynn said. “I look forward to working closely with my fellow directors to support the executive team in driving the group’s continued success.”

Together, based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, reported underlying profit before tax of £216.1 million in its most recent annual results for the year to June 30. The lender’s loan book increased to £7.9 billion over that period, rising further to £8 billion in the quarter to Sept. 30.

Together chairman Mike McTighe said Flynn’s appointment would support the group’s next phase of growth. “His extensive experience and strategic insight, combined with his deep understanding of the Moser family’s vision, will be invaluable as Together continues to grow and deliver on its ambition to be the UK’s finance partner of choice,” he said.
